# Deputy president Paul Mashatile’s son-in-law, Nceba Nonkwelo, has paid back the 12.6-million-rand he owed to the Gauteng Partnership Fund, as part of a settlement agreement. A series of media reports by News24 claimed Nonkwelo Investments had received loans totalling about 30-million-rand between 2013 and 2017 from the GPF, for the construction of student accommodation in Johannesburg, which was never completed. He also funded the purchase of 37-million-rand house for Mashatile and his wife. Nonkwelo has told News24 that this matter has now been resolved.
