Africa Finance Corporation launches new insurance subsidiary

# The Africa Finance Corporation has established a new subsidiary, AFC Captive Insurance Company, to strengthen risk management and support infrastructure financing across Africa. The Bermuda-based company is wholly owned by AFC and has up to 484-million-rands in equity capital. It will initially provide insurance cover for AFC loans, helping the group manage risk and reduce reliance on external insurers. AFC says the initiative will improve capital efficiency and unlock financing for infrastructure and industrial projects across the continent.
