# Emergency rescue workers are racing to find survivors after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, killing at least 240 people. Almost two-thousand-600 had been injured, and nearly 200 people remain missing. Further tremors were felt in Cali yesterday, one of the worst-affected cities, with more than 70 occurring since Monday. Emergency responders have rescued 37 people from some of the 40 buildings that had completely collapsed in Cali. Colombia’s president, Abelardo de la Espriella, says the top priority is saving as many lives as possible.
