# Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy, Alexandra Abrahams, says the ministry will continue engaging the National Nuclear Regulator, the National Radioactive Waste Disposal Institute, Eskom and other stakeholders to strengthen institutional coordination across the nuclear sector. She says Koeberg Nuclear Power Station’s future contribution would depend on disciplined maintenance, the retention and development of specialist nuclear skills, reliable supply chains, credible waste-management arrangements and continued compliance with the conditions imposed by the National Nuclear Regulator. She adds South Africa nuclear institutions carry responsibilities that extend across generations.
