Cape Town launches first Citizens’ Assembly on climate [SOUND]

# Cape Town residents are being invited to register for South Africa’s first Citizens’ Assembly on Climate, where 100 randomly selected participants will help shape the city’s future transport and climate policies. Organised by the University of the Western Cape and Stellenbosch University, the initiative aims to develop recommendations for an affordable, reliable and low-emission transport system. A spokesperson for the UWC’s Politics and Urban Governance Research Group, Meshay Moses says registration closes on 30 July:
