A former SA Air Force brigadier general jailed in the US for being a ‘secret foreign agent’

# Former South African Air Force Brigadier General, Portia Anyamba, has been sentenced to six months in a US federal prison. This is after she pleaded guilty to acting as an undeclared agent of South Africa while working at the highly sensitive Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. As part of a plea agreement, she also pleaded guilty to making false statements in her US security clearance application. In addition to her prison sentence, Anyamba has been ordered to serve two years of supervised release and pay a fine of 155-thousand-rand.
