# Standard Bank has congratulated the 15 winners of the 16th annual Sikuvile Journalism Awards, held in partnership with the South African National Editors’ Forum. More than 400 entries were received from journalists nationwide. The bank’s CEO, Sim Tshabalala, praised journalists for their commitment to truth and accountability, while SANEF said this year’s competition was among the most competitive yet. The awards recognise excellence in reporting, photography, commentary, innovation and leadership in South African journalism.
