RAF empowers youth with driver training and road safety skills

# The Road Accident Fund urges young people to take an active role in improving road safety during Youth Month. They warn that young people remain among the most vulnerable road users, accounting for just over 50-percent of road fatalities. The fund says risky behaviour such as speeding, reckless and distracted driving continues to drive crashes. It’s continuing its youth driver development programme, which trains unemployed matriculants in professional driving skills and road safety, with 760 participants already enrolled and more to be added.
