# The Department of Home Affairs says the first one-thousand-140 Malawian nationals processed at a repatriation site in Durban were found to be in South Africa illegally. Two-thousand-745 repatriations have been carried out by various countries since president Cyril Ramaphosa’s address on migration and illegal immigration earlier this month. The department’s deputy minister, Njabulo Nzuza, says those who were found to have legal status were advised to return to the communities where they had been living:
