# Iran’s deputy Foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, says a more expansive agreement with the US will be negotiated during a 60-day ceasefire period, which will include sanctions relief. The US and Tehran have agreed on a peace framework for a deal to bring the war to an end, halt the American blockade of Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Gharibabadi says entry into the 60-day negotiations is conditional on the US implementation of its commitments, especially the release of billions of dollars in frozen Iranian funds.
