# The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is calling on all South Africans to play their role in ending trafficking and take care of children and monitor their online behaviour. Today marks World Day against Trafficking in Persons and it is commemorated under the theme ‘Human Trafficking is Organized Crime – End the Exploitation’. The department says in the past year, 74 people were rescued from trafficking, most of them women, children, and young people under 25.
