Testifying remotely, Witness X detailed WhatsApp messages showing close links between businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala and KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head, general Lesetja Senona, as well as his son Thato Senona. Relaying the witness’s answers, intermediary advocate Thabang Pooe said the chats reportedly expose a beneficial relationship involving confidential information, protection, and property transactions:
