# The Western Cape Provincial Disaster Management Centre remains on high alert as severe weather conditions persist across the province. The South African Weather Service has confirmed continued forecasts for cold, wet and windy conditions with rainfall of ten to 20-millimeters expected in various areas, especially in mountainous regions. The Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning Department’s spokesperson, Wouter Kriel says significant impacts have been recorded in the City of Cape Town:
