# The National Consumer Commission has advised consumers that Volkswagen of South Africa has recalled 374 Amorak vehicles, made available from 10 January to 12 June this year. The vehicles are recalled due to the possible loss of braking assistance that may be caused by the electromechanical brake servo control unit. According to Volkswagen the braking system remains functional but needs additional effort when applying the brakes with subsequent increased braking distance. Affected vehicles are to be taken to any Volkswagen approved dealership for assessment, at no cost to the consumer.
