# Republican-controlled US Senate has rejected a Democratic-led resolution that would have required the State Department to provide information on violence and alleged human rights abuses in the Middle East’s occupied West Bank. This includes information on nine Americans killed in the area and Israel’s treatment of Palestinian children in military detention. The resolution failed 47-53.
