# The United Nations has expressed concern at the escalating deadly Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian civilians. Russian strikes killed at least 265 civilians in Ukraine and injured one-thousand-816 in June, the highest combined casualty count since the first months after Moscow’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. Meanwhile, Ukraine has also intensified its attacks against Russia, targeting oil refineries. UN Political Affairs chief, Rosemary DiCarlo, says attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure are a clear violation of international humanitarian law:
