# Transnet Engineering has signaled willingness to forge private sector partnerships as part of its turnaround strategy. The division said during an Industry Day in Pretoria that the strategy aims to modernise South Africa’s rail infrastructure by refurbishing rolling stock and expanding maintenance services. A key initiative includes establishing a leasing company, LeaseCo, to provide refurbished locomotives and wagons, with a request for qualification open until 4 July.
