Ramaphosa orders SIU probe into North West Transport Investments

# President Cyril Ramaphosa has authorised the Special Investigating Unit to investigate allegations of corruption, maladministration and irregular expenditure at North West Transport Investments. It will cover its subsidiaries, North West Star and Atteridgeville Bus Service. Investigators will scrutinise procurement, contracts and payments involving fuel supplies, vehicle rentals and commuter bus services. The SIU will also examine claims submitted by Tansanat Coachlines Limited, Ziggy Investments owned and directed by businessman Suliman Carrim, and their joint venture. The probe will establish whether officials received undue benefits.
