# Tennis: German top seed Alexander Zverev and fourth seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia have been knocked out of the Canadian Open in Montreal. Zverev was ousted by Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4, while another Dutchman, Botic van de Zandschulp, defeated Medvedev, 6-3, 7-6. American seventh seed Taylor Fritz lost, 7-5, 6-3, to Argentina’s Thiago Agustin Tirante. In the women’s draw in Toronto, American Coco Gauff defeated compatriot Kayla Day, 6-2, 7-5, while Alexandra Eala of the Philippines battled past American Alycia Parks, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
