The Belarusian battled past Wimbledon champion Czech Linda Noskova, 7-6, 3-6, 7-6, her 19th consecutive win at the tournament. Sabalenka will next face Jessica Pegula, after the American defeated compatriot Emma Navarro, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. In the men’s draw, American Frances Tiafoe rallied from two sets down to beat countryman Alex Michelsen, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6, to reach his third US Open semifinal.
