# Tennis: For the first time in three years, the world number four Coco Gauff is back into the quarterfinals at the National Bank Open in Canada. Gauff secured her spot in the final eight in Toronto with a 6-3, 6-1 win over teenage qualifier Alina Korneeva. After debuting at the event in Montreal in 2021, Gauff had three consecutive quarterfinal appearances from 2021 to 2023, but for the past two years, she couldn’t get pass the Round of 16. The win moves Gauff into her seventh WTA Tour quarterfinal of 2026 and her 25th career WTA 1000 quarterfinal.
