In the women’s draw, Japan’s Naomi Osaka stunned world number one Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, 6-2, 7-6, to make the quarterfinals for the first time, while American Coco Gauff defeated Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
