# Former Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department officer Kersha-Leigh Stols has been remanded following her appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court over an alleged 14.9-million-rand gemstone theft. Stols, suspended EMPD officer Adrian MacKenzie and businessman Etienne van der Walt are accused of posing as law enforcement officials during a raid on a Killarney apartment. The matter surfaced at the Madlanga Commission, where Witness K detailed the alleged operation. The accused will apply for bail next week Thursday.
