Stats SA says debt-related civil cases continue to show a downward trend [SOUND]

# Statistics South Africa says over eight-thousand civil judgements for debt were recorded in April, with a total value of 221-million-rand. This marks a 19.5-percent decrease compared to the same time last year. The biggest decreases were in money lent, promissory notes, services, and other debts. Stats SA’s Onica Mushwana says the data shows a continued downward trend in civil debt cases, suggesting a slight easing of pressure on the courts and consumers:
