# Statistics South Africa says the number of business liquidations declined slightly in June. The total number of liquidations fell by 0.4-percent year-on-year, from 246 to 245 cases. Company liquidations decreased, while liquidations of close corporations increased. Stats SA’s Onica Mushwana says liquidations were down by 1.4-percent between April and June and declined by 0.9-percent in the first six months of the year compared with the same periods last year:
