# The Special Tribunal has dismissed former ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe’s application to halt civil recovery proceedings linked to an allegedly irregular 27.6-million-rand Gauteng waste vehicle tender. The Tribunal found Mabe’s arguments lacked merit and was simply an attempt to delay accountability. As a result, the SIU can proceed with reclaiming the state’s funds, while Mabe’s separate criminal trial for fraud and money laundering remains on track. Mabe was also ordered to pay legal costs.
