# Soccer: Poland’s manager has resigned following star striker Robert Lewandowski’s announcement he will no longer play for his country if Michal Probierz remains in charge. Thirty-six-year-old Lewandowski, who plays for Barcelona, said on Monday his trust had been betrayed and he was hurt by the manner in which Probierz took away the captaincy from him. He is the country’s leading goal-scorer with 158 goals in 85 matches. Probierz says he realises it would be in Poland’s best interest if he leaves the national set-up.
