# Soccer: Former Cameroonian great Samuel Eto’o’s name will be among the candidates for next week’s elections of the African governing body’s executive committee. The four-time African player of the year was excluded by CAF in January without giving any reasons. This followed after CAF as well as world body Fifa suspended him last year for allegedly verbally abusing match officials, and breaching ethical and integrity standards. Eto’o appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, who overturned CAF’s decision that he wasn’t eligible.
