Soccer: CAF restores AFCON to its traditional two-year cycle

# Soccer: African governing body CAF has confirmed the Africa Cup of Nations will return to a two-year cycle, reversing its previous decision to organise the tournament every four years. The event has been played every two years since 1968, bar a one-year gap between the 2012 and 2013 editions. CAF president Patrice Motsepe says this decision protects African soccer’s interests and gives the proposed Africa Nations League more time to develop. The next tournament will take place in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda next year.
