SA’s retail trade sales up 2.3% in August [SOUND]

# Statistics South Africa says retail trade sales increased by 2.3-percent in August compared with the same month last year. Most of the growth came from hardware stores, general dealers, and other retailers. Over the three months to August, retail trade was up 3.2-percent from last year, with strong growth in clothing, footwear, and hardware. Stats SA’s Raquel Floris says overall, the retail sector shows steady growth despite some monthly fluctuations:
