SANTACO Western Cape notes decision to close taxi routes [SOUND]

# The South African National Taxi Council in the Western Cape says it has noted the provincial government’s resolution to invoke Section 91 of the National Land Transport Act. This empowers the government to impose extraordinary measures in areas where violence, unrest, and instability in the public transport sector have placed lives at risk. Santaco’s  spokesperson, Mmatshikhidi Phala, says as from tomorrow, selected taxi routes will be closed for a period of 30 days:
