Santaco president calls for renewed commitment to road safety [SOUND]

# The South African National Taxi Council says a renewed commitment to road safety is urgently needed following a week of tragic accidents that claimed 22 lives. Seven people died in Mpumalanga, seven in Gauteng, and eight on the N3 near Swinburne in the Free State. The council pledges to strengthen vehicle checks, accelerate driver education, and work closely with law enforcement. Santaco’s Rebecca Phala extended condolences to the families of the victims:
