# Limpopo police have launched an investigation following the killing of a South African National Defence Force member at Lulekani township outside Phalaborwa. According to police, the man was shot multiple times while on his way to work at the 7-SAI battalion in Phalaborwa on Thursday morning. Five empty cartridges were found at the scene, and the soldier’s belongings, including his cell phones, were found in his possession. Police say the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
