# Die Suid-Afrikaanse Kommuniste Party het sy jaarlikse Red October-veldtog van stapel gestuur, wat gerig word deur die stryd om die onvervulde doelwitte van die Vryheidsmanifes in sy 70ste jaar te bereik. Die doelwitte van vanjaar se veldtog sluit in oplossings vir die werkloosheidskrisis, die terugdraai van neoliberale beleidsoorheersing en die bevordering van transformasie van grondbesit deur restitusie. Die SAKP sê in die besinning oor die Vryheidsmanifes, veral die stryd om die onvervulde doelwitte daarvan te bereik, vier hulle ook die demokratiese oorwinning van 1994 teen die apartheidsregime.
The South African Communist Party has launched its annual Red October Campaign, guided by the objectives of advancing the struggle to achieve the unfulfilled goals of the Freedom Charter in its 70th year. The objectives of this year’s campaign include addressing the unemployment crisis, rolling back neo-liberal policy dominance, and advancing land ownership transformation through restitution. The SACP says in reflecting on the Freedom Charter, especially the struggle to achieve its unfulfilled goals, they also celebrate the democratic victory of 1994 against the apartheid regime.
