# The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority has joined the Medical Device Single Audit Programme as an affiliate member. This global initiative allows SAHPRA to collaborate with international regulators to improve oversight of medical device manufacturers. The move expands SAHPRA’s reach beyond South Africa’s borders and will enhance regulation of medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics by sharing resources and audit findings with other participating nations.
