# Union federatioin SAFTU says the country faces a deepening crisis of de-industrialisation, mass unemployment, factory closures, collapsing state capacity and growing dependence on imported manufactured goods. The economy grew by 0.5-percent in the first quarter of this year, while the manufacturing sector continued to weigh on the economy.
