SA first digital parking platform KaChing to close end of August

# South Africa’s ticketless parking platform KaChing will cease operations on 31 August 2025. Launched in 2015, KaChing used automatic number plate recognition to simplify parking payments. Despite serving over 25-thousand users and processing a million transactions, app issues and unresponsive customer service plagued the platform. The company says that users with prepaid balances must request refunds by 15 September. Meanwhile, rival service Admyt continues to expand, as KaChing recorded decline in the competitive digital parking market.
