Rugby: SA Rugby declares a R93-million loss for the 2024 financial year

# Rugby: SA Rugby is optimistic about the short-to-medium-term future despite reporting a 93-million-rand loss for the 2024 financial year, which was forecast. The loss is partly due to the participation in the United Rugby Championship and the European Professional Club tournaments. This year, SA Rugby is forecasting revenue above two-billion-rand, which will be driven by new sponsorships, full URC membership, and continued commercial growth. SA Rugby CEO Rian Oberholzer says the income it generates all goes back into supporting the growth and promotion of rugby in the country.
