# Rugby: Changes to the way world ranking points are earned will come into effect on the first of next month. World Rugby says the first changes since the rakings’ introduction in 2003, were necessary because of the international game’s evolving competition landscape. The amendments include the removal of the home weighting aspect, with more neutral Tests replacing the traditional home and away match hosting model. The Springboks are still on top of the rankings, followed by the All Blacks, Ireland, France and Argentina.
