# Rugby: Argentina have recruited defence coach Shaun Edwards for next year’s Rugby World Cup in Australia. The 59-year-old Englishman joins the Pumas after seven years with France, helping them win three Six Nations titles. Former Argentina coach Mario Ledesma also returns as forwards coach under Felipe Contepomi. Edwards starts at the end of October, ahead of November’s Nations Championship matches against Ireland, Italy and France. Argentina reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2007, 2015 and 2023. They will face Fiji, Spain and Canada in next year’s pool stage.
