# The Reserve Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee has voted to keep interest rates unchanged, holding the repo rate at seven-percent and the prime lending rate at 10.5-percent. Governor Lesetja Kganyago says the decision, backed by four of six Monetary Policy Committee members, reflects expectations that inflation will rise in coming months, peaking near four-percent. He indicated that the bank expects inflation to average 3.4-percent this year and 3.6-percent next year:
