# Renowned crime and gender-based violence activist, Pamela Mabini, was tragically shot dead in her car in Kwazakhele this morning. The 46-year-old was found in her bakkie on Tshauka Street at around 10:30am. Known for her support of human rights, Mabini founded the Maro Foundation, providing care to abandoned children and the disabled. She was also a strong advocate for gender justice and stood for victims of rape and human trafficking.
