# President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on political factions within municipalities to cease infighting and prioritise stable governance and service delivery. Delivering the keynote address on behalf of Ramaphosa at the Local Government Indaba in Midrand, Gauteng, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs minister, Velenkosini Hlabisa, emphasised that trust is earned through accountability, efficient infrastructure, and effective leadership. He stressed the need to strengthen financial governance, address corruption, and reconfigure municipal funding models to create vibrant, responsive local government.
