# President Cyril Ramaphosa has reportedly stepped in to secure the reinstatement of Patriotic Alliance’s Kenny Kunene as Johannesburg’s mayoral committee member for Transport. Kunene was sworn back in as a councillor on Friday, after he had voluntarily stepped down as an MMC after being linked to murder accused Katiso “KT” Molefe. According to TimesLIVE, the ANC national leadership has ordered that Kunene be restored to his transport portfolio by Tuesday, halting a planned swap of MMC positions between the PA and the EFF.
