# President Cyril Ramaphosa has established an inquiry to determine the fitness of Andrew Chauke as Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions. Suspended with full pay from 20 July, Chauke faces serious allegations regarding his fitness and propriety. Retired Justice Bess Nkabine will chair the inquiry, joined by senior counsel Elizabeth Baloyi-Mere and attorney Thenjiwe Vilakazi. The Presidency’s spokesperson Vincent Magwenya says the findings will be reported to the President:
