# Psychiatrists from across Africa will gather in East London in the Eastern Cape from today until Friday for the 2025 South African Society of Psychiatrists Congress. The conference will focus on improving access to mental health care, where most people living with mental illness currently go untreated. The organisation’s Anusha Lachman says delegates will discuss ways to fight the stigma and bring care closer to communities so more citizens get the help they need:
