# The South African Police Service arrested 13-thousand-915 suspects during nationwide Operation Shanela raids in the past week. Among them, 190 were arrested for rape, with KwaZulu-Natal recording the highest at 89. Police also seized 82 stolen vehicles and 99 illegal firearms. In Emanguzi in KZN a task team recovered 19 stolen vehicles linked to cross-border crime. Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says the operations will continue to be intensified to ensure safer communities:
