# Parliament’s Impeachment Committee has resolved to appeal the ruling of the Western Cape High Court on president Cyril Ramaphosa’s urgent application. Last week, the court agreed to halt the public hearings of the committee, pending the president’s review application against a Section 89 independent panel report. The African Transformation Movement, EFF, MK Party and United Africans Transformation have approached the Constitutional Court for leave to appeal the interdict. Committee chairperson, Makashule Gana, says they will take their appeal directly to the ConCourt as well:
