# The Portfolio Committee on Electricity and Energy has commended the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation after four of its companies achieved clean audits. During an oversight visit to Pelindaba, chairperson Nonkosi Mvana emphasised the importance of monitoring progress in energy infrastructure. NECSA CEO Loyiso Tyabashe reported major governance improvements and six clean audits overall. The committee also discussed extending the SAFARI-1 reactor’s life and attended the G20 Nuclear Ministerial Conference in KwaZulu-Natal.
