Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee chair stresses the importance of its findings and recommendations [SOUND]

# Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee chairperson, Soviet Lekganyane, says the findings and recommendations of the committee may help shape the criminal justice system. The committee was established to investigate allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who accused high-ranking politicians, police leaders and criminal cartels of infiltrating South Africa’s criminal justice system. Lekganyane says the committee cannot become a “laughing stock” by failing to make findings against those accused of wrongdoing:
